Another spontaneous trip to Malacca for the weekend. Love it!

We arrived around 1ish in the afternoon and the first thing to do in Jonker Street?

MAKAN TIME!! (we haven't gotten a place to stay but we packed our stuff and fingers crossed!)

There are a few must eat food when you're at Malacca.

#1 Chicken rice balls

I can have this everyday and wouldn't even mind!

Okay, let me show you our room. We walked around searching for a place to stay and almost all the hotels were fully booked. Thank goodness for Hotel Puri! They had only one room left by the time we got there. Mind you it was already 3pm then.

We took it almost immediately though it was a little pricey. WE GOT THE FAMILY SUITE!

*happy and sakit hati at the same time- coz such big and expensive place for only two of us*

Anyhow, let me show you what it looks like. When we first step foot in, we went OOH MMM GEEE o_O

A huge ass living room with sofas, Astro, cabinet and what not. Kitchen with utensils in another corridor leading to HUGE ASS bedroom with one KING sized bed and TWO single bed. Whatever for.

# Family suite at Hotel Puri

It would've been good for a party with 10 people of so. Cosy and homely!

# Jalan jalan cari makan
Jonker 88 is a must visit place for yummy dessert! Love the gula melaka cendol!

If you're visiting the historical place, apart from Museums and good food, you can expect a wide variety of items you can buy as souvenirs at the night market at Jonker.

Only on Fridays and weekends but you don't want to miss the street food and what nots.
Here's what we ordered at a nearby Nyonya restaurant:

Fried squid (of course they had some fancy name to all these dishes but let's get to the point :P)

Chencalok egg (yummy!)

Sambal lady's fingers

Devil's Curry Chicken

INDEED DEVILISH.

Our favourite, steamed Otak Otak (good for the brains! :P)

This pretty much sums our short trip to Malacca. Oh how I love spontaneous trips because you don't know what to expect.

Good company, great dinner, and free breakfast:

Malacca is such a beautiful city. Enjoyed the whole heritage stay though only for a night.

Okay lovely readers, will update about my Bali trip soon!

Stay tuned! ;)
