Just a short one. I know most of us are probably cracking our brains on what to do this Valentine's Day, especially if you are working. The key to a great Valentine's day is to plan ahead. To some people, Valentine's day is just another day for an excuse to buy that lovely girl you've been crushing on roses or a box of chocolate. Cliche but sweet after all, who doesn't like gifts?

Ever since I started dating back when I was fifteen, I've only celebrated Vday single, once. Sure it's nice to mingle and party all night long, but I prefer the home cooked dinner, traditional cum lazy way of spending this romantic day. I remember that year, it felt weird not spending time with a "special" someone (hate how commercialized this has become) so me and a friend went grocery shopping and cooked a great meal that night. Purrfect.

Tips for this Valentine's day, single or attached:

#1 Road trip picnic

I think I smiled a lot more with my teeth back then. That reminds me, gotta get scaling done soon :D

Single or attached, it's fun to go on a road trip somewhere, even just for a day. Can't decide where to go? Grab a map of your current state, close your eyes and point at a spot on the map.
There you go, easy! Don't forget to bring some sandwiches if it's going to be a picnic :D

#2 Love & Other Drugs

I've watched this movie three times now and I still can't get enough of it!

Sometimes the things you want the most don't happen and what you least expect happens. I don't know - you meet thousands of people and none of them really touch you. And then you meet that one person and your life is changed (Love & Other Drugs, 2010).

I think this would be a good choice of film for Valentine's Day. Not your average cheesy love story.

#3 Host a party be it two person or MORE = S.A.D (Single Awareness Day)

#4 Do something you've always wanted to do but have no balls to! E.g. Ask that hot chick/dude out for dinner, or go on a blind date!

#5 Work Book a suite at a hotel nearby and pretend like you're on holiday..somewhere =P

#6 Gift ideas? When it comes to gifts, I take forever to decide on one because men have such limited items to buy for! (Games, Wallet, Shirts, Watch, Sunnies, Pants, WHAT ELSE WHAT?!)

How about some e-love vouchers for him/her?

Make sure there's an expiry date.

#7 Good food
Note: Good food and expensive restaurants are two different things.

By the way, we had sumptous Japanese dinner last night @ Nihon Kai, Old Kland Road.

I'm a loyal fan of Sushi Zanmai but I think the food here is a lot better.

Look at how thick the sashimi is!

Their dinner set comes with Chawanmushi (steamed egg), miso soup, and your main course.

 My Sukiyaki <3

Random picture of my old jeans + new shoes :D

Taking some time off to rant my stress away but I'm really sleepy now,
why can't there be more than 24 hours a day? 8 hours of sleep, 8 hours of work and 8 hours of play? Not quite enough.

Night, world.
