Most of the time when people talk about maintaining good skin or complexion, the first thing that comes to mind are problems that we are facing be it blemishes, acne, or enlarged pores. As far as I know, many factors could affect our skin- our lifestyle, daily stress and worries, the food that we eat (they say, you are what you eat), and most importantly, getting enough beauty sleep.

It's true, women need more sleep than men --now sshh.

So how do I take good care of my skin? Honestly, after putting on make up for shows and my daily bb cream for work, the first thing I do when I get back home is remove them so as to allow my skin to breathe. Thanks to Richard Purvis, founder of Skin Nutrition, he taught us a few tips to maintain healthy skin at their recent launch. It's also a brilliant idea for Skin Nutrition to take into account our daily lifestyle, diet and nutrition into what we apply onto our largest organ.

The venue: Cyberview Lodge Resort & Spa, Cyberjaya.

That's Richard explaining total skin wellness

We tested our moisture level using this little machine.

Before- 36.5

After applying their moisturiser - 53.8

It is only after this test that I realized how uneven the moisture level on both my hands are -___-"
My left apparently has lesser moisture compared to my right hand.

Kevin Zahry, fitness guru and author of bestselling weight loss books giving the ladies tips on how to maintain and keep fit :)

Just to share some tips that I learned:
- Drink plenty of water to wash down toxins
- Eat regular meals but in smaller, more portions e.g. If you eat 3 big meals in a day, try breaking it down to 4-5 smaller portions
- Starving yourself and skipping meals will not only harm your body, it may make you lose a bit of weight but when your body starts consuming food again, you'll end up putting on weight if there's a sudden change of appetite
- You will put on weight (water retention) if you oversleep or if you don't get enough sleep, your skin condition will deteriorate and you will start to lose focus --so tough!

 Gorgeous!

Their spa rooms.

It felt heavenly even just for that two hours-- as though we were on a getaway.

My favourite Skin Nutritions:

Deep Cleansing Mask (RM 198) helps to detoxify and cleanse your skin

Simply need to apply it after cleansing your face, you will feel your skin tightening and it's definitely more radiant.

Toner Spritz (RM 128) contains berry extracts to help tone your face.
In fact, most of Skin Nutrition products are made of different kinds of berry and they have a really sweet smell that is compatible with most skin types. This is a spray on so I sometimes carry it in my bag as an 'energy' water to brighten up my face after a long day. :)

Another favourite would be their, Cell CPR that helps to renew skin (with new cells true to its name!) This one is amazing because I have large pores and freckles due to excessive sun tanning but this one helps to lighten my pigmentation and literally feels like it's producing new cells to help my skin breathe better. Cell CPR helps stimulate cell production especially when our hectic lifestyle causes us to age prematurely.

These are just some of my personal favourites. Of course there are other range of products to suit different needs.
