live, love, laugh. Just the way I like it.
Super GT @ Sepang International Circuit
About two months ago I started emceeing for the Super GT Queen Search
, which has finally come to an end last weekend. We attended the rehearsals a few nights before (see more photos of rehearsal night here
) at the venue itself and here's how the stage looks like:
Us fooling around with an "air mic" because the sound system wasn't ready then.
Fast forward 48 hours
It took us about an hour before we arrived at the Sepang International Circuit where the finalists, myself and the organisers met up for a final briefing.
Make up (check!!), cue cards (check!), and my co- partner, Careen (check!) :)
Outfit for the day:
Careen and I
It was scorching hot, pity the guys and photographers who were stuck waiting under little umbrellas and especially those without them. The view from where I stood:

The show finally started in the evening with the girls parading in beautiful gowns sponsored by Kraftangan Malaysia (Round 1).
Us on stage with the top 15 finalists
For Round 2, the ladies were dressed in casual white top with denim shorts.
There was also a special performance by singer songwriter, Hanz.
I remember back then joining pageants and talent competitions was fun up till the Q&A session. This time it was our turn to poke fun of the ladies (I kid! hahah), I knew exactly how they were feeling- the anticipation and nerve wrecking feeling.
Although initially I thought it was going to be tough hosting in front of a huge crowd, on a big stage.. surprisingly we both had a lot of fun in the hot weather. It felt almost natural when we made jokes and started laughing along with the sporting crowd.
Round 3 caught the most attention as the girls strutted down the stage in outfits sponsored by LFDA (Lee Flower Design Academy). To suit the theme of the show, Hawaiian samba, the outfits were colourful and vibrant.
The finalists with Kathy and Goh from LFDA
And after rounds of cat walk and Q&A, it was finally the results time. Before that we gave out little token of appreciation to our sponsors and judges.
Judges grading the ladies
I have to salute the ladies who sacrificed their time and effort, attending training, rehearsals, photo shoots and what nots. It was a truly fun experience, from the auditions to the semi finals, outfit and garment fitting, to the finals.
Winnie won Ms. Popularity, as she garnered the most votes via Facebook voting (more than 1.2k likes!)
Renee walked away as the finalist with the most Charisma. She deserved it, always smiling wherever she goes, that girl! :)
The girl with the tan I like! Sandy walked away with Best Poise, good posture, body and catwalk.
Gorgeous Vanes won Miss Photogenic :)
Michelle walked away with the tile of Super GP Caffee Queen (sponsor) winning cash, goodies, and tons of make up sponsored by SUB.
And finally, the girl who's got it all,
Lu Shan, winner of the Super GT Queen Search.
Photo taking time! <3
Thanks guys for the wonderful experience and to Careen, my co-emcee you rocked, love!
And guess who was there too? :)
Ezzie was there too! heheh :D
Two months worth of hard work all worth it! Love the satisfaction derived from it all. Now I'm starting to enjoy hosting a lot! :)
