Whether it is Ode to My Family, Salvation, Dreams, Linger, Zombie, or When You're Gone, I knew I had to get my hands on the tickets the moment I heard that Irish rock band, The Cranberries is coming to town.

As usual, we got off right after work and found our way via the monorail to Hang Tuah station, nearest to Stadium Negara in the city.

My partner in crime that day.

Lydia and I

The stadium was already packed with booths and fans crowding at the gate. We got there just in time to save ourselves a good spot (near the barricade in the Rock Zone)

Why you should aim for the barricade? 1. Because you are not tall enough. 2. Even if you're tall, there is always someone taller than you. So the barricade can help if you need to get a glimpse of the performance heehee :)

There was no opening act that night and the concert started around 9pm. First song: Dreams

I was excited and disappointed at the same time because their first few songs were all the popular tunes. Dreams then Linger (second song of the night).

Simple stage settings and their background was outstanding, I thought it looks really dreamy (matches Dolores' voice)

Before you scroll to the bottom, here's a video of one of my favourite songs from them:

"Ode to My Family" - The Cranberries

Whatever happened to bands and music like these, I can still feel the atmosphere and excitement when I look at the pictures. We saw aunties and uncles headbanging to the songs, they knew all the lyrics like how our generation would know songs by Spice Girls or BSB -__-"

Second outfit brings out her eccentricity.

The entire performance lasted for a good 1.5 hours, it was definitely worth every sweat and tears
they sang ALL the popular songs.

And the crowd including us, went home satisfied because of the berry good night :)

Oh, we also got ourselves this:
