Finally after months of dreaming and craving for a beach getaway, we are flying off to Kota Bahru!

Perhentian Island is a must visit especially if you love the beach. A lot of my friends tell me about how beautiful it is and that it is prettier than islands that are away from our country. In a way it is true because out of all the beaches I have been to, the ones in Malaysia have the whitest sand and clear blue water.


Rachel's Guide to Packing For An Island Getaway:


Dresses (preferably tube dresses) so as to avoid getting tan lines
A few pair of bikinis (must bring!)
Flip flops and a spare if you're clumsy like me
Sunblock (recommend spray-on by Sunplay for easy application)
Miniature toiletries (you know those available in travel sizes)
Spare plastic / bags if you enjoy being eco-friendly
Beach towel / sarung for you to lay on the beach (avoid getting your back and buttocks burnt)
Shorts and spare clothing in case you get wet during snorkeling / diving trips
Mosquito repellent and clarityne hee :D


Anyway, it is going to be my first time to the island. And I am probably on my way, getting burnt as you are reading this haha
