Ask me what I did this weekend?

I CHILLED! haha okay, some would beg to differ =P

I always like feeling productive (rach's definition: cannot sit down and do nothing) but at times my boyfriend would tell me to sit back and relax..."and just chill". Then i'd think to myself, am I not already chilling when i'm not working? Apparently not enough so today we did absolutely nothing by pampering ourselves watching zombie and horror films.. AND THAT FELT AWESOME!!

My stomach was hard at work though, working hard at digesting carbs after two rounds of food tasting on Saturday *burps*

First was Tiga Rasa @ Alicafe  in USJ Taipan-

They serve Malaysian cuisine focusing primarily on three types of flavour (hence tiga rasa) - the gulai lemak, sambal lemak, and hebi hiam (dried shrimps) sambal -

Restaurant ambiance leaning towards modern yet comfy and homely -

Simple and chic

Our table was filled with these delicacies -

If you're thinking of some good home cooked curry, tomyam or sambal dishes, this is an awesome suggestion for a place to dine in with your loved ones (no more stinking fingernails or watery eyes while chopping chillies and onions)

They serve home made Hokkaido (Japanese dessert with cream filling - available in coffee, vanilla and chocolate) cakes -

Although i don't drink coffee, the coffee cake was my favourite!

Then came this -

Banana roll! *eyes open wide*

The manager explained, "the idea of banana roll with ice cream came about when my daughter gave me fries dipped in McD's sundae"

I paused for a moment.

"That's a brilliant idea!"

BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT I DO! (we all laughed) so naturally I enjoyed the banana roll and ice cream.

Later that afternoon, we headed over to KFC in Pavilion for another round of food tasting.

Shah and I agreed that we would share the food serving after our heavy meal.

WE COULDN'T RESIST BECAUSE IT'S THE LAUNCH OF AWESOME ZINGER DOUBLE DOWN (it's a bunless burger!!) -

It's pretty filling because you are basically swallowing two pieces of chicken with stuff in between.

Thanks to KFC, we were the lucky few to try it before the official launch (by the way, it was available in the US and Australia but they have stopped production), now it's available in Malaysia for a limited time period only so go and try it!

The food tasting session felt like one of those parties you attend as a kid.

We played with balloons and danced to popular tunes Shah and I sure had fun -__- we walked away with some prizes after being called on 'stage'

Shah doing the GangNam style!

Lavend and I in colour coordinated outfits hehe

That pretty much took up the entire Saturday afternoon. The only thing that kept me going that day was the fact that John was on his way up and that we were going to meet for dinner that night.

I also wanted John to meet Brian for the first time and thank goodness because we didn't die laughing at embarrassing stories that night -__-" We sure had a lot of fun.

It's times like this we should learn to appreciate because when we get too busy with our daily routine we lose touch with the little things that make a big difference. So glad that it all worked out though me being me, I'm still trying to make sense of life and everything in between.

Till the next update, have a good week ahead everyone! Xx
