Uncle! Ice kacang tak mau kacang!
I've always preferred my Ice Kacang (or ABC) without the kacang.
Yes, as in without red beans or peanuts. Don't ask me why because I got high.
Sorry la, early in the morning, still not freshened up.
So when I order my ice kacang, a lot of my friends give me the funny weird look on their faces.
WHAT.
"You might as well order Iced Lemon Tea without the ice"
Yes I do (that too). Hmph.
I like me lemon tea cold and without the ice. WHAT. *cocky look* HEH.
Or "chicken rice without the chicken".
Don't be ridiculous!
I still love eating chicken.
Anyway, just thought I'd share a movie with you guys, Ice Kacang Puppy Love is produced locally by singer, Ah Niu (remember the song "dui mien de nu hai, kan guo lai lalala~) okay, fail.
This film stars various local celebs like Lee SinJe, Penny Tai, Gary Chao *me likey* , Fish Leong, Victor Wong and many more.
Nah, here's the trailer for your convenience.
Coming soon on the
15th of April!
I know many of you don't read/write/speak mandarin but there's the subtitles!
I'm a b-a-n-a-n-a too!
Nola, but i can speak conversational Mandarin. Met Ah Niu's PA and financial planner the other day and they seem like a nice bunch of people.
So let's show some love, support local production!
It looks interesting to me, something different for a change.
Happy Wednesday, peeps! :)Labels: Mac2010

just another random fella
Just to share with you guys how annoying it can be sometimes when people unknown to you adds you on Facebook.
Firstly, I admit that have in my list people whom I do not know.
Why, you ask?
It depends on the mutual friends. I would most likely approve requests from people whom I'm familiar with, or at least whose mutual friends I know.
You'd be surprised. Because I have met great people (in reality) even though i first got to know them from their Facebook. Makes any sense?
Anyway, let me tell you this story between Triple A and I.One thing's for sure, we share ONE mutual friend who so happens to be my colleague.
This was our exact conversation.
Let's call him Triple A.
Subject: ive got stgh fr u
(are you retarded? can't spell properly is it!)
Triple A: oh hey, ive been wondering if ppl been asking u "are u a model?"
are u?
Me: hi alif,
i do at times do part time modeling only when there are campaigns, why, anything you got there for me?
Triple A: oh rili, like wat model?hand model?(Again, can't spell properly, and full of sarcasm!)
Me: is that a sarcasm from you or a genuine question. mostly freelance photography and commercial. why?
Triple A: wel dont have the time to look at all of ur photos.
so i'll ask u dat one right away haha
wat else are u good at?
(like what else am I good at? i'm good at crushing people's brains, you retard!)
Me: i see, what do you do?
Triple A: hey..i asked u first,rachel..
(F*** you!)
Me: sorry, i don't feel obliged to answer you. have a nice day!
(see, still can say have a nice day, wth!)
AND HE CONTINUES.
Triple A: hmm..you don't get out much, do you?
(now, he really is getting on my nerves)
Me: well of course i do, i get out every single day. it's just sometimes people don't realize how rude they can be that makes asking a polite question into some kind of interrogation, u see.
so what do you do, alif?
Triple A: okay, im monumentally sorry. I didnt mean to step over your boundaries. I merely intended to find them. Now that i know where they are, i promise...I will not cross them again.Im sorry.
Engineering, well for Petronas.
(Do I look or sound like I care?)
ANOTHER MESSAGE..
how old are u?
are u married and have 10 kids?
(wth)
AND ANOTHER MESSAGE..
"hmm somehow i think we shudnt know each other"
*PRESSES THE DELETE BUTTON*
I ain't sorry mate, but you were asking for it.
Note to self: Now, that's one reason why you shouldn't approve anymore people you have not met.
:(
*****
Sorry for the profanity.
Here's something happy, additional two photos from my previous shoot with
Kevin Han.
Have a great weekend peeps!
Should I go to Zouk tonight? hmmm it's their 6th Anniversary!
Fickle-mindedness has got the best of me.
:)

what to do on an already filled Friday?
How was your weekend? Mine was pretty eventful.
So last Friday was the "happening night" with a few major events in town.
We were all geared up for St. Pat's as early as in the morning itself!
Note: Taken in the office! That's how excited we were.
Though it was a hectic day prior to the event (evening onwards), I had to drag my lazy arse just to see how chun it would be!
And I wasn't disappointed at all!
We headed over to Nic's to dress up before heading over to 1Utama.
This is what I first saw walking into St. Pat's!
Rows of stalls selling Guinness and finger food.
A huge stage with a talented band.
They did covers of The Cranberries as well as Mr. Brightside by The Killers.
It was like a masquerade party with people in colourful costumes and some walking on stilts.
We were literally starving when we arrived and so we went around scouting for food.
This is what I had:
A RM 10, Lamb burger.
o_O
Which wasn't too yummy.
The ambiance was amazing, loved the carnivale feel.
That's Sara (above) posing with the fellow Guinnessians.
Oh, of course I had to take one too. But one of the girls was nice enough to offer to take a pic (polaroid summore) for FREE.
(i know, JAKUN *quoted by Jacqkie)
hehehe
Anyway there we go,
Though a bit blurry, but you know how nice it looks. Me likey polaroid photographs.
Apart from live performances, St. Pats aka the Laughing Festival also featured Douglas Lim in the Comedy tent.
It's a pity we didn't stay long, coz
Marcusthebisingboy was rushing me to
Hennessy Artistry @The Opera, Sunway Pyramid.
But before that, let me savour some St. Pat's moments. Hehehe.
Ladies doing the can-can dance.
Great ambiance, ain't it mate?
(influenced by Shaz who spoke to me with a heavy English accent the whole night last night, urgh!)
Oh, I met Wan Hui there too! (as well as Pei Man, and Sin Yee)
Ladies in white :)
******
Hennessy Artistry @ The Opera
We were given a media pass and a guest pass each.
I remember going to Hennessy 2009 at Zouk and I thought this would've been better.
I thought wrong.
Though it was near where I live, but the music wasn't captivating (enough), and it was too darn packed.
That's the view from the higher level. Thank gdness, otherwise I'd be squashed like a sardin in the tin!
I ended up club hopping from Opera to Republic coz Philip was celebrating his birthday!!
I promised I would see him.
At 10.30 p.m. he sent me this message.
"Hey, at republic ade. Come before i KO k"
*zooms off*
10.39 p.m.
With the delighted birthday boy!
By 11.15 p.m. Philip was already half gone. Look at this!
You get what I meant now.
What to do when the birthday boy KOs?
You continue partaying!!! hahaha
Mr. Jagerbomb (Marcus) joined me at republic after I left (he claimed) him at Opera.
So that was how my Friday went, what a good way to kick off an excellent weekend *sarcastic tone*
Of course, it didn't end just there,
I went back to the Opera to meet my colleagues as the night just began!
Love,
Rachel :)

I'm going to the Gatsby Deodorant Street Fair!!
Are you?
Each time I think about Gatsby, I think about the "Clap your hair" advertisement.
See video!
Farkin hilarious! (and creative too!)
You must be thinking, do I even use Gatsby?
You'd be surprised.
But my closest encounter with Gatsby is the Watsons YOU Awards (being one of the sponsors) when I had to market their moving rubber wax for one whole day! Yes, the one with the apple scent. The pink, grey, green, blue, orange and purple ones!
Anyway, hop on by to the Street carnival happening in April!!
Date: 17 April 2010 (Saturday)

Adam Lambert: Pictures not to be missed!
Yes, I'm still at Adam Lambert. Have not gotten over him YET! *grins*
Finally received the pictures of Adam from the official photographer.
Credits to Sony Music.
Casual shot of Adam:
Another shot:
Showcase at Universal Studio, Singapore:
Pre-show
:: Crowds cheering their lungs out ::
Showcase at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre:
He's got the voice of an angel. Simply amazing.
"Broken Open is all about intimacy and being open."
When asked if he has any advice to tell fans from Malaysia?
Adam answered, "Yes, believe in yourself and there's a fine line between dreaming and being realistic"
He added, "Make sure you're good at what you do.. first".
hahaha

Alright, since I don't have the time to edit the videos, I'm going to list down what I got from the interview.
Note: Sentences have been paraphrased.
How has Idol changed your life and helped in your success?
"When I reflect back, i always think about "finally". I think about pressure and to be my best"
Has it been hectic for you thus far?
"Oh yes, and I'm so glad I took my first vacation to Carbo after Idol".
Do you think you create controversy?
"I don't try to be controversial but the media loves twisting my words. I think i'm outspoken and really opinionated. Any publicity is good publicity and being visible is half the battle"
How do you maintain your vocals? Any special remedies or vocal exercise?
"Sometimes I do vocal exercise but mainly drink more water and have more rest"
"It's not true that fried food ruins your voice! However, spicy stuff does affect the quality of the voice"
Do you have a role model?
"Nope, I didn't wanna worry about keeping a secret (sexuality), it's easier to be yourself."
Any plans to do a collaboration with anybody? (Points at his T-shirt with the word Queen in it)
"Haha no plans to perform with people yet."
There were news about you having a role in GLEE. Is that true?
"Nope, but if they were to cover one of songs, it would be Aftermath."
Fashion tips?
"Anything that helps to identify me."
Three words to describe your fashion sense:
"Glam" "Edgy" and "Subtle" *giggles*
Make up brands?
"M.A.C and Make up Forever"
So ladies, now you know where to shop for good eye make up hehehe
Hope you enjoyed reading!
Once again, thank you Hotlink for this great advernture!
Love,
Rachel :)
